Meet Greg, the genius behind the can. An anesthesiologist and winemaker, competitive by nature. Born and raised in Germany, Greg modeled Sunshine Wine after a Federweisser, an actively fermenting wine traditionally sold only in the wine-growing regions of Germany.
Federweisser is a phenomenal drink but according to him, a logistical nightmare. Can’t let it get warm. Cannot cork it. Cannot put the bottle flat. It is hard to come by outside of the wine-growing regions of Germany.
A NEW DRINK WAS BORN
As a devout wine drinker, Greg was up for the challenge. After months of trial and error, he didn't just make a stable Federweisser, he made it better.
A new category of drink was born. Some would describe it as a stable Federweisser whose aunt is a beer and whose second cousin is a lemonade. Others refer to it as trouble in a can. We simply call it Sunshine Wine.
